Housing is a basic human right and requirement for good health. Purpose:
To provide opportunities for people living with mental illnesses to live independently
Objective:
To support individuals as they live independently
Outcome:
Since 2010, we have constructed two eight unit apartment complexes, one six unit apartment complex and acquired one house with a renovated suite upstairs, a total of 23 independent units, with minimal vacancy rate.
A Support Worker works closely with participants to ensure independent living skills are developed, supported, and personal goals are met. The program is strength-based and client centred, providing mentoring to all participants.
